July 28, 2008

Kyle was traveling up the Entiat River Road from Entiat when he apparently fell asleep. About four miles up the road, he drifted over a driveway and collided with a tree. He's currently in the Critical Care Unit at the Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, WA. He suffered a head injury and they're watching his intracranial pressure. This is a tentative period where they're not sure what will happen. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Mark and family,
I was in the London airport when I learned about this from Jamie's email. Those that are parents must know what you are giong through. I pray for Kyle's complete recovery and for you, Jamie and the kids. My thoughts are with Kyle's Wenetchee family, too. This is a very difficult time. I wish I could be there to help as I might.

Kyle~

Wow you never see things like this coming. When I got the phone call, my heart started racing.
When I saw your car, I just kept praying it wasnt you, not Kyle. You have been on my mind since that day and I just hope you'll be okay. Looking through the year book and remembering the last couple times I really got to see you, I just hope I get to see that again. You were always smiling, laughing, doing great things, and always active. You have alot of wonderful friends who care for you. This is the time when you get to see who your friends really are. How many people love and care for you. Even people you didnt expect. I never thought I would have you on my mind so much, but you are! Even though we were never close, I care for you alot and hope to God you pull through this. I wrote in my card to you that I never pray, and I dont, but last night I felt the only way I could go to sleep is if I prayed for you. I hope my little prayer makes a difference. You are so lucky to have the people you do for support. Your mom is an amazing person that loves you with everything she has. Always keep her close. Your closest friends, Cameron, Cheeks, ect ran to your rescue when they heard. That is so important. Those people you cherish for the rest of your life. They are good people.
Anyways~ Like I said, I hope you get better. I have gone to see you twice, cant wait till I actually get to see you. Just know how much people love and care and are here to do anything for you. Take care and get better!

Sincerely your friend,
Cassandra DeCaires

Your an amazing young man. Smart, and strong. those are two things i know u are. And i pray that you pull through. about 5 days ago, i looked into my yearbook... and just sat and stared at our senior pictures. and YOU were the first person i seem to look at. YOU always stand out Kyle. later, i heard you were hurt. i didnt think it was so serious... and youve been on my mind, and in my prayers ever since. :)
as for family- stay strong, and keep your heads up.. easier said than done im sure. Kyle is wonderful. and when i get back to Washington, i want to visit. :) God Bless... live love laugh.
